Ho ho ho and here we go; it’s November so it’s nearly Christmas!
I flipping LOVE Christmas. It’s my favourite time of the year, and from October I’m ready and waiting to get Halloween out of the way so I can get excited about the build up to Christmas.
Apparently it’s not acceptable to be excited until Halloween is out of the way, which frankly is a shambles. I say when the shops start putting their Christmas stuff out, it’s fair game. I made these in October, because I don’t follow the rules.

*I’ve literally just realised this was in my drafts and hasn’t been published. It’s now October 2019… so this blog is about 18 months old. Whoops. Enjoy!*
As we know, I’m a year behind on my ‘cooking from my calendar’ series. Nevertheless I’m carrying on and so here is July’s recipe, which I actually made some time in September 2018 for a party that my parents were going to.
This post is from 2018 and was saved in my drafts, but I didn’t publish it. So now, a year later, here it is…!
Hello! I’ve been away for so long I forgot how to log on. But here we are, back again.
This month’s recipe from the calendar is rock cakes.
What a dramatic title. It’s really just experiment time! I never really enjoyed science experiments at school but I do enjoy a cake experiment – not sure if that’s because I get to eat the final product? #cakescience
This month’s recipe is Earl Grey Tea Loaf.
I eat a lot of bananas, but I don’t really like them when they are baked into a cake, if I’m being honest.
I haven’t made many lemon drizzle cakes in my life; in fact other than the one you’re about to read about, I think I’ve only made one other and I don’t remember it being particularly amazing.
