Chocolate covered gingerbread for World Chocolate Day!

Now it’s World Chocolate Day on July 7th, so I thought it would only be right to crack open a Cadbury cook book to celebrate.

This is actually my mum’s cookbook, and I remember always loving the look of the biscuits on the front cover. I’m not sure why it’s taken me until age 33 to make them, but never mind.

I made vegan cookies!!

I have a colleague who’s a vegan. I also have a vegan cookbook!

I’ve used the book before and it’s great but I’ve only made the soups from it, and not ventured into the sweet section.

My colleague can’t eat the other things I take into the office, so I decided to make something she could enjoy when I found the banana and chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Adventures in gingerbread – part one

Welcome to another mini-series on the blog. My previous track record with this kind of thing isn’t great – I didn’t ever finish ‘cooking from my calendar’ and I think I might have lost the actual calendar now, whoops.

Hopefully I can cope with a two-part series though. At the time of writing, it might be a three-part series, I haven’t decided yet.
