I decided to resurrect my blog

I had this blog in 2012 but I didn’t really use it too much.  I think I deleted it after a failed attempt at an apple tart, when I was basically just guessing what I was doing.

Everyone has a blog now and nothing about this one will be ground-breaking, but one day, after a conversation with my best friend, I decided I should bring it back and start again.

My house is full of recipe books and so I’ll just be baking my way through them and sharing pictures of what I’ve made. Some of these books I’ve had since I was a child, some I’ve bought more recently and love, and some, I’m sorry to say, I’ve never made anything from. I’ve got a bad habit of buying recipe books and just looking at the pictures, but hopefully having my blog back will force me to open some of these books properly and test out the recipes.

When looking through the pictures I had on here I found this picture of these amazing pig cupcakes I made once! I’m actually still so proud of these!

I’ve even researched food photography! So hopefully I will be able to take some good pictures of my bakes. I think to be a proper blogger I have to buy some kind of marble effect background to take my photos on, though.

Picking a theme was a highlight – who knew it would take so long though. I did feel a bit overwhelmed, a bit like how I feel in IKEA, as there’s so much choice. Hopefully I’ve picked a good one.

Anyway, I like baking and I like writing, so let’s do this. Join me on my adventures in baking and eating cake and let’s… this is cheesy so I’m stopping now.
